what’s stored
- Your email address, to send your six-digit sign-in code.
- Your library: books, shelves, ratings, dates, page progress, reading sessions, notes, tags and stickers. This includes anything you import from a Goodreads export.
- Your taste profile: the sweet spots and reading patterns worked out from your library, used for fit scores and picks.
- Your reading goal, if you set one.
Each record is tied to your account and can only be read with your signed-in session.
what leaves your phone
Supabase
Your account and library are stored with Supabase, which hosts the database and sign-in.
Anthropic
Picks for you, fit notes and book recognition run on Claude through Anthropic’s API, on the server, never from your phone. To do that, the relevant parts of your library are sent with each request. When you scan a cover, shelf or screenshot, the image is sent to identify the book and is not stored by plotish.
Open Library
Covers and book details come from Open Library. Lookups send a title, author or ISBN, never anything about you.
Resend
Sign-in codes are delivered by email through Resend.
camera and photos
plotish asks for the camera only when you scan a cover or barcode, and for photos only when you pick a screenshot to look up. Neither is used for anything else.
what doesn’t happen
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing your data for marketing.
- No public profile. Nothing you log is visible to other readers.
taking it with you, or deleting it
In Library, under Your records, you can export your whole library as Goodreads files at any time.
To delete your account and everything in it, email support@plotish.app from the address you sign in with. It is removed within 30 days.
children
plotish isn’t made for children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Changes that affect what’s collected are shown in the app before they take effect.
